Keweenaw Copper and Minerals

Greg Makela
(906)337-2401

My family has been collecting and selling minerals in the Keweenaw for generations. I have amassed a considerable quantity of minerals in the last 25 years, and as you know the time eventually comes to every collector to sell off a few rocks.

All inquiries, offers, and deals will be made by calling me at (906)337-2401, 11am-11pm Eastern Standard Time. If I am out rock hunting or fishing please leave a message.

All payments will be made by personal check, cashiers check or money order. Personal checks must clear before items will be shipped out. I apologize to you out there for the inconvenience, but E-mail and credit cards don't work for me. Shipping costs will be added on, as well as a 6% sales tax for Michigan residents. If you don't like your rock return it within 10 days for a refund minus the shipping charge. Items must be unaltered, in their original condition before they will be accepted back.

(Left)This is a photograph of my mentor and Grandfather Frank Perona. His mining career was spent working at the Allouez and Centennial mines. He was a prolific producer of all varieties of minerals from the 1940's to the 1980's. He was well known for his Datolite and Ledge agate.

(Right)This is a photograph of my Great Grandfather Jacob Lehtola who worked in the Arcadian and Quincy mines. This image is of the Arcadian around 1900. He is the fourth person from the left.
